Come and delve into the Portuguese culture and history by visiting the medieval town of Sintra, the beautiful landscapes of Cabo da Roca and the exquisite beach town of Cascais with a Local Guide.
We start our tour by one of the most romantic palaces of Europe, the Palace of Pena. This XIX century Royal Summer Palace is famous for its unique architecture as well as its exotic gardens riddled with viewpoints that look over the mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean.
We then continue our tour by visiting the medieval Town of Sintra where you will have the opportunity to walk in the historical town center, try the local pastry “Travesseiros” and “Queijadas” and enjoy the local gastronomy as we make our stop for lunch.
After lunch we head West until we get to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European Continent where you will marvel at the impressive natural landscape of “The Place Where The Land Ends And The Sea Begins”.
We drive through the Mountain Range of Sintra into the Beaches of Guincho, famous for watersports like Kitesurf and Windsurf, before making a stop at yet another impressive natural wonder, “Hell’s Mouth”.
We then visit the marvelous beach Town of Cascais, the chosen place of residence of some of Europe’s high society, and even some Royal Families in exile, famous for its fishing ports and exquisite beaches.
After this last stop of the day, we start to head back to the City of Lisbon, driving through a stunning promenade. A scenic route that shows us the Casino Estoril, the so called “Portuguese Riviera” with all of its beaches and the Mouth of the Tagus River.
