We had an incredible experience from start to finish, our guide Goncalo was fantastic, he made sure we were introduced and ready to go. Off we went on the way to Sintra he gave us tons of interesting information, it turns out he is from that area and loves reading and studying history. He was very informative and told us all the small details about the three castles we visited that made it very slice of life instead of just a history lesson of facts. He also had entertaining stories and was very personable. You can tell he enjoys his job and enjoys people. In general, I would highly recommend this tour just to handle the logistics of getting to all three castles. Between the one way roads and the parking situation it was really nice to have someone else handle driving, parking, and having it all be with just one person instead of having to organise Ubers and taxis yourself. Luis was also very clear about transport and where he would drop us/meet us. 10/10 would recommend! read less

It's hard to go around these places on your own in one day if you come to Portugal, but thanks to Luís , who has 35 years of Guide experience, it was an efficient and enjoyable tour with few points. We had some free time in each place. If I wanted to, I would have liked to see Batalha a little more. Participants included Spain, Brazil and Japan. We didn’t speak each other’s languages, but Luís explained in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and helped us converse with others, which made us feel lonely at the end of the tour saying goodbye to everyone we had spent the day with. The Nazareth peanut cookies that Luís taught me were delicious. It's not easy to buy, but if you get another chance to go to Lisbon, I'd love Luís to Guide you again. It was fun. He explained how the tour would work, where we would stop for a coffee break or longer for a meal and of course explained everything in great detail to the group. Throughout the day Luís always had our best interests in mind and always put it us if we wanted to change it up by staying longer, seeing something again nearby or going earlier as his plan developed with the local traffic & numbers of people. We thought his knowledge was excellent and he explained it all in English & Spanish for all parties. The places we visited were superb. Highlights for us were Sintra itself and the Palace of Pena. Thoroughly enjoyed it, great value for money and would recommend it. read less

Really enjoyed the tour especially the views and the way to Sintra has magical landscapes. Our tour guy Paul was amazing, explained with detail the history and the culture behind our tour. Stopped at Cascais for a walk and coffee, went to Cape Roca which is the westernmost point of continental Europe and then drove to Sintra to see the palace and the beautiful gardens. Throught the whole route Paul was explaining to us all the key points we should know about our visits, he walked with us to the palace and explained every detail about the history behind it and its beautiful gardens but he also suggested a traditional portugese restaurant to have lunch and in Sintra he suggested a great place to enjoy some traditional deserts. Had an amazing time and we really suggest this tour as it is organised and you can fully gain the perfect sintra experience!! read less
