Literally translated, Boca do Inferno means the "Mouth of Hell". The Boca do Inferno is a unique sea-arch and cliff formation close to the town of Cascais.

The coastline to the west of Cascais comprises of high eroded cliffs, battered by the full force of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Boca do Inferno was originally a sea cave, which subsequently collapsed leaving a chasm and sea arch.
It’s a popular tourist stop, as everyone wants to see and photograph the pounding waves and the often-beautiful sunsets.

In popular belief, fado is a form of music characterized by mournful tunes and lyrics, often about the sea, love or the life of the poor, and infused with a sentiment of resignation, fate and melancholy.
This is loosely captured by the Portuguese word “Saudade”. “Saudade” is one of the most beautiful words in the entire world and it has no English equivalent.

As in all the holy places we call shrines, Fatima people flock from all quarters to participate in religious ceremonies.
After the blessing of the candles in the Chapel of the Apparitions and the recitation of the Rosary, is initiated the procession of candles between the Chapel and the Sanctuary.
This is a short journey made by the Virgin of Fatima accompanied by thousands of pilgrims holding candles and singing chants of praise.

The Douro Wine Region Valley is the oldest demarcated wine region in the world.

First, the river carved the deep valleys out of the land and then man transformed the schist mountains into soil and planted the vines. These rocks store heat during the day and distribute that heat through the ground at the end of the day. In addition, it also stores rainwater, which allows a sustainable development of the vines.

Green in summer, flame-coloured in autumn, the inclined terraces expose the vines to the rays of the sun which give the grapes the warmth that the wine craves.
